I have participated in PIC Indonesia program in Pahae, North Sumatera in the year 2019 and I praise God that PIC Indonesia is an interesting and a very useful program for me because I can improve my English ability meanwhile as a Pastor, I can be refreshend again with my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. I would like to thank God for the opportunity given to me and my team from HKBP District XVI Siborong-borong to join PIC Indonesia through GLFI. Through PIC Indonesia, we have learned many things mainly related with English language especially about the Gospel. The lesson that is produced by the team of GLFI – PIC Indonesia is easy to digest especially about the work of salvation by Jesus on the cross that was fulfilled with one word “tetelestai” or “it is finished.” Our hope is that this program will continue to bless many more people.

I praise and thank God who brought me together with GLFI in 2015. Back then, I was still single joining English course and now I already have a child. I got many experiences for about 5 years. Learning English to become better. Moreover, I know more about how salvation is freely given by God. My faith become stronger. Besides, I have known many hospitable people in the team. Thankfully I had the chance to visit Singapore, the homeland of GLFI-PIC founder Rev. Paul Choo and his ministry there. It was an amazing learning experience that I want to bring in my area of ministry in HKBP. There are many things I wanted to say from my experiences.

Honestly, I would like to say that I am so grateful to be a part of PIC Indonesia. Meeting and joining PIC Indonesia is a blessing because in this program, I was refreshed with my understanding of the Gospel. In fact, I was reminded on how to share the Gospel correctly. In PIC Indonesia I was more enlightened about the real understanding of the Gospel. Deeper, very clear and with simple theories that are always based on the true Word of God meaning, there are supporting verses. Even though I have theological background but I never get the Gospel as clear as when I found in PIC Indonesia. PIC Indonesia thoroughly examines the truth of the Gospel that it is indeed important and precious. Before, I thought that I share the Gospel in the right way, but after I joined PIC Indonesia, I realized that there are still a lot of things that I haven’t delivered. In fact, honestly what I used to preach are advice not the Gospel.  And PIC Indonesia has helped me a lot in understanding and becoming a Gospel preacher, preaching the Gospel in the right way. I really feel blessed to meet and join PIC Indonesia programs. And one more precious thing that I got by joining PIC Indonesia is that my salvation will never be lost. My understanding in the past, our salvation can be lost because of our bad behaviors and character, but PIC Indonesia has clearly enlightened me that salvation is forever ours unless we are the one who let go and leave it.

Shalom! I am so grateful to God because God has brought me together with GLFI especially PIC Indonesia. I learned many things that added my knowledge and understanding in the Word of God. In the past, I only “know” without any true understanding of God’s grace, saving faith, and assurance of salvation in God. I really enjoy the study of the Word of God by Rev. Paul Choo and my understanding of it has improved, I am more assured of my salvation in Jesus Christ. In my church ministry, I also experience changes and grace after grace. Also, my congregation experience God’s grace in assurance of their salvation through their worship, offerings, and service not to earn heaven but because they are already assured of heaven.
